This site is dedicated to the
promotion and realization of a
Division 1-A College Football
Playoff.  How can the average fan
help achieve this goal? By joining
together, targeting the biggest
obstacle and using our
considerable joint economic clout.
College football fans we must:

Boycott The Rose Bowl!!

"We need a playoff system."
                   Joe Paterno

"I support a playoff,  I think it
would give us the chance to
decide a champion on the
field."
                    Lloyd Carr

"It's a matter of
independence and control."

However ,

"Eventually the consumer
will get what he demands."

Big Ten commissioner Jim
Delany
A playoff is used to determine the football champion in
Division I-AA, Division II and Division III, as well as
every other sport sanctioned by the NCAA.  Playoffs are
used for all U.S. professional team sports.  Hell, even the
wimpy World Cup is a playoff.  A Division 1-A playoff
could be bigger than March Madness and the Super
Bowl combined, without sacrificing the Bowl traditions!!

"University of Florida
President Bernard Machen
and Florida State University
President T.K. Wetherell are
pushing for a playoff."

                Bloomberg.com

"Once I put it down on
paper, I was blown away at
just how incredible this
would be. Imagine two and
a half weeks with seven of
the most exciting games of
the year, in which every
game is huge for everybody.
It makes the BCS system
we have today – and the
money it generates – look
like a joke."
                   Terry Bowden

“The Rose Bowl is the most
important external
relationship we have, It’s
more important than the
BCS. We’re going to honor
it. We’re going to salute it.”

Big Ten commissioner Jim
Delany
“What you’ve got is a
system now that’s run by
people whose interest is
the protection of their
personal domain, that
being the six (major)
conferences, any solution
that they come up with is
going to be based on how
to protect themselves and
their conference members.
We need to have that go
away.”

  University of  Florida
  President  Bernard
  Machen
"The Big Ten and the Pac-
10 would prefer to return to
the old bowl system —
which had no mechanism
for matching No. 1 vs. No. 2
— rather than have a playoff."

                      NY Times

"I've looked at the Big 12's
10-year revenue
projections  basketball
television, basketball
tournament, football
championship game and
percentage increases
range from 20%-50%. Post
season football is like
2.6%. And you're thinking,
'Our bell cow, our big
money producer, is going
to generate 2%-3% more in
10 years. People ought to
be in jail.' "

 Texas athletics director
  DeLoss Dodds
"There is no reason on this
earth why we can't have the
best four and then play one
more."
          Tommy Tuberville

No, it won't take a half empty stadium or a big drop in TV
ratings to force a playoff.  But it will take a constant drum
beat for change and raising the risk to the Rose Bowl and
their sponsors of a backlash.  Any hit, or risk of a hit, to the
wallet gets noticed and acted on. The Rose Bowl is in the
cross hairs and the winds of change are blowing.  This site
will keep the rally flags flying and the pressure on.

And yes, I will eventually have a well designed site
